The nearest train station is Mauer-Öhling. From here you can reach the clinic in about 10 minutes on foot. The following bus lines stop in the immediate vicinity: Lines 609, 612, 645, 646, AST AMSTETTEN 5 and SV100 run regularly.
From Ulmerfeld-Hausmening station you can take the nextbike-NÖ bikes to the exhibition grounds. The ride takes around 8 minutes. As the first 15 minutes are free with every nextbike-NÖ rental, you can travel there and back from Ulmerfeld-Hausmening station free of charge. The exhibition takes place at the Landesklinikum Mauer in the Mostviertel region, an impressive Jugendstil ensemble that has been synonymous with mental health in Lower Austria for more than 120 years. In the renovated House 21, the administration building, the exhibition content is divided into four sections, which deal with different aspects of mental health and illness from a historical and contemporary perspective. The learning place in House 18 examines the history of medical crimes in times of National Socialism, based on the latest research findings. It is a place of remembrance, respect and reflection. And it is open for everyone free of charge – even after the NÖ Landesausstellung 2026.
