Information about ski pass
The Hinterstoder 1-day ski pass is only valid in Hinterstoder. PREMIUM multi-day ski passes are valid in Hinterstoder and on the Wurzeralm, the ski bus between Hinterstoder and the Wurzeralm can be used free of charge.
Even small children (born in 2021 or later) need a ski pass! The KidsCard mini can be purchased for € 5 plus a € 4 KeyCard deposit upon presentation of proof of the child's age (e.g. E-Card, Upper Austrian family card, etc.) and a valid adult ski pass directly at the ticket counters on site.

Nestled in the Pyhrn-Priel mountain range within the 360°Alpenland vacation region and set against the spectacular backdrop of the Totes Gebirge, Hinterstoder is one of Austria’s most popular winter sports destinations. This World Cup ski resort delights visitors with perfectly groomed slopes, state-of-the-art lifts, and excellent snow conditions up to 2,000 meters above sea level.
An overview of the Hinterstoder ski resort
40 kilometres of slopes for every ability level - Hinterstoder offers a varied range of winter sports for beginners, families and experienced skiers. A total of 40 kilometres of perfectly groomed slopes are available:
12 km of easy (blue) slopes
18 km of intermediate (red) slopes
10 km of difficult (black) runs
Keen winter sports enthusiasts will find real challenges here – from the famous Hannes-Trinkl World Cup run to the spectacular Inferno run with gradients of up to 70 per cent. A particular highlight is the Höss Totale, where skiers cover around 1,400 metres of elevation gain over 7.4 kilometres.

Families will also find plenty to enjoy in Hinterstoder. Wide, clearly laid-out slopes and Upper Austria’s largest children’s area, covering 16,500 m², ensure unforgettable winter experiences for our youngest guests. Over 100 kilometres of winter walking and snowshoe trails lead through snow-covered forests and to idyllic alpine huts. Natural toboggan runs in Hinterstoder and Rosenau am Hengstpass also provide additional winter fun.
